词条 | Monsu Desiderio |
释义 |
In the mid-twentieth century, art historians identified the works previously attributed to "Desiderio" as being by at least three different painters: François de Nomé (1593 – after 1620) and Didier Barra, both originally from Metz, and a third artist, whose name is unknown. Nomé's works were described by Rudolf Wittkower as "bizarre and ghostlike paintings of architecture, often crumbling and fantastic".[2] References1. ^{{cite book|chapter=Didier Barra|title=Painting in Naples: From Carravaggio to Giordano|publisher=Royal Academy|series=Exhibition Catalogue|year=1982|location=London|page=108}} {{Authority control}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Desiderio, Monsu}}2. ^1 {{cite book |last1=Wittkower |first1=Rudolf |title=Art and Architecture in Italy |edition=First paperback |series=The Pelican History of Art |year=1973 |origyear=1958 |publisher= Penguin Books|location=Harmondsworth |isbn= |page= |pages=}} 3 : French Baroque painters|Italian Baroque painters|People from Metz |
