It is 49.6 km long, and its basin area is 657 km2.[1] Beginning in the Hradec Králové Region near Markvartice, the Mrlina passes through the cities of Kopidlno, Rožďalovice, and Křinec, and the villages of Nadslav, Střevač, Chyjice, Žitenín, Bartoušov, Pševes, Mlýnec, Podlužany, Vestec, Rašovice, and Budiměřice, before joining the Labe River at Nymburk. The Mrlina flooded in early January 2003, requiring the 220 inhabitants of Vestec to evacuate.[2] References1. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.dibavod.cz/download.php?id_souboru=2224 | title=Charakteristiky toků a povodí ČR - Mrlina| author=| publisher=VÚV TGM | date= | access-date=2018-05-08 | language= cs}} {{CentralBohemia-geo-stub}}{{HradecKrálové-geo-stub}}{{CzechRepublic-river-stub}}2. ^{{cite news| url = http://articles.latimes.com/2003/jan/05/world/fg-storms5 | title = Winter Storm Puts Much of Europe on Flood Alert | work = Los Angeles Times | date = January 5, 2003 | page = A-13 | accessdate = 2008-09-21 }} 2 : Rivers of the Hradec Králové Region|Rivers of the Central Bohemian Region |
