It is owned and operated by Malibu Yacht Charters located in Egmont British Columbia.[1] The Malibu Papoose was built in 1974 by Uniflite Corporation of Bellingham,WA and was designed specifically as a U.S. Navy utility boat. It was bought as surplus and brought to Canada in 1975 where it was modified with a new 300 Hp Volvo engine, a new wheel house, forecastle storage area, and a covered passenger seating area.[2] References1. ^Hitz, Charles W.(2003).Through the Rapids - The History of Princess Louisa Inlet, p.164.
