Founded by Prophet T.B. Joshua of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, the team was established for the purpose of helping talented young footballers. HistoryKnown for his extensive philanthropic endeavors, T.B. Joshua explained 'My People FC' is just another way of assisting the less privileged in society. "I strongly believe the young shall grow," he said in an interview with Complete Sport's David Meshioye.[1] Current squadAs of 14 January 2017 {{Fs start}}{{Fs player|no=1|nat=Nigeria|name=Adejoh Godwin Vincent|pos=GK}}{{Fs player|no=21|nat=Nigeria|name=Austin Obi Atuge|pos=GK}}{{Fs player|no=12|nat=Nigeria|name=James Faith|pos=GK}}{{Fs player|no=29|nat=Nigeria|name=Gregory Sebol|pos=FW}}{{Fs player|no=17|nat=Nigeria|name=Onyeka James Chidi|pos=MF}}{{Fs player|no=7|nat=Nigeria|name=Leonard King|pos=FW}}{{Fs player|no=13|nat=Nigeria|name=Edwin Opave|pos=MF}}{{Fs player|no=8|nat=Nigeria|name=Ekwem Princewill|pos=FW}}{{Fs player|no=10|nat=Nigeria|name=Yakubu Azeez|pos=MF}}{{Fs player|no=2|nat=Nigeria|name=Kamoru Ogubjobi|pos=DF}}{{Fs player|no=4|nat=Nigeria|name=Dolavi Monday|pos=DF}}{{Fs player|no=14|nat=Nigeria|name=Nwankwo Franklin|pos=MF}}{{Fs player|no=24|nat=Nigeria|name=Omosola Taiwo Kikelomo|pos=MF}}{{Fs player|no=25|nat=Nigeria|name=Pius Uche|pos=MF}}{{Fs player|no=19|nat=Nigeria|name=Godwin Aneke|pos=MF}}{{Fs player|no=20|nat=Nigeria|name=Brown Egemole|pos=DF}}{{Fs player|no=18|nat=Nigeria|name=Yussuf Ogunwale|pos=DF}}{{Fs player|no=28|nat=Nigeria|name=Chukwuma Chigozie|pos=FW}}{{Fs player|no=9|nat=Nigeria|name=Akewusola Jamal|pos=FW}}{{Fs player|no=3|nat=Nigeria|name=Chidozie Paul|pos=DF}}{{Fs player|no=5|nat=Nigeria|name=Omobolaji Shakiru|pos=DF}}{{Fs player|no=33|nat=Nigeria|name=Ajayi Femi Adeoye|pos=DF}}{{Fs player|no=27|nat=Nigeria|name=Adebayo Idowu|pos=DF}}{{Fs player|no=23|nat=Nigeria|name=Olubode Damilare|pos=FW}}{{Fs player|no=39|nat=Nigeria|name=Yaya Lawal|pos=MF}}{{Fs player|no=22|nat=Nigeria|name=Onifade Afeez|pos=MF}}{{Fs player|no=6|nat=Nigeria|name=Samson Williams|pos=MF}}{{Fs player|no=11|nat=Nigeria|name=Onyii Nwosu|pos=MF}}{{Fs player|no=15|nat=Nigeria|name=Locator Stanley|pos=MF}}{{Fs player|no=16|nat=Nigeria|name=Akinyemi Joseph|pos=DF}}{{Fs player|no=40|nat=Nigeria|name=Fatai Bakare|pos=MF}}{{Fs player|no=30|nat=Nigeria|name=Babawale Olamide|pos=DF}}{{Fs end}}AchievementsAlthough relatively young, impressive performances against both junior Nigerian National Teams, the Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles, alongside victory against Premier League Side Gateway F.C.,[2] have landed ‘My People FC’ squarely on the Nigerian football scene. With increasing interest from numerous foreign scouts, three players were sponsored abroad to play for Bodens BK, a Swedish club.[3] Two were subsequently chosen to represent their nation at U17 Level for the Golden Eaglets [4] – Sani Emmanuel [5] and Ogenyi Onazi.[6] Emmanuel won the prestigious Golden Ball and Silver Shoe at the tournament, and has since joined the Nigerian U-20 Team, The Flying Eagles, alongside his teammate Onazi.
