The town has a population 38,000 permanent residents{{when|date=February 2014}} and a total area of {{convert|206|km2}}. Nanlang has administrative jurisdiction over the village of Cuiheng, which was the birthplace of Sun Yat-sen. AdministrationNanlang is directly administered by the prefectural city of Zhongshan.
