The National Association of State Treasurers is a non-profit organization consisting of state treasurers or comparable senior finance officials from U.S. states, commonwealths, territories, and the District of Columbia. The association was established in 1976, and is headquartered in Washington, DC. The National Association of State Treasurers exists to assist state treasurers in influencing public policy at both the state and federal levels.
