}} Neocynodesmus is an extinct genus of terrestrial carnivore within the family Canidae which inhabited North America from the Oligocene to Early Miocene 30.8—-20.6 Mya existing for approximately {{Mya|30.8-20.6|million years}}.[1] TaxonomyNeocynodesmus was named by Macdonald (1963).
