From the 1990s: Alannah Myles with "Black Velvet", Bryan Adams (4 #1 hits) including "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You", Snow (musician) with "Informer" in 1993, and Barenaked Ladies with "One Week" in 1998.

From the 2000s: Nelly Furtado with "Promiscuous" in 2006 and "Say It Right", Avril Lavigne with "Girlfriend" in 2007.

From the 2010s: Drake (rapper) with 3 #1 hits as a solo artist like the dancehall "One Dance" and the trap song "God's Plan" in 2018, Magic! with "Rude" in 2014, The Weeknd with 3 #1's like "Can't Feel My Face" and "Starboy" in early 2017, and Justin Bieber with 3 #1 hits including "What Do You Mean?" in 2015 and "Sorry" in 2016.

All these musicians are from Toronto, except Gordon Lightfoot, Bryan Adams, Avril Lavigne, and Justin Bieber. In addition, Alanis Morissette from Ottawa had 3 #1 albums on the U.S. Billboard 200 including Jagged Little Pill in 1995, and Shania Twain from Windsor had one #1 album with Up!.
