The population of this village as per the 2011 census was 7557 . In 2001, it was 7610 indicating that the actual population in the village is decreasing.[1] This place is blessed with fertile land with pollution free environment. Majority of people are farmers. Rubber cultivation and foreign remittances are the major sources of income. Neyyassery is well connected with roads to neighboring places. But this village is not well accessible by public transport even though few private buses conduct regular services . Majority of the population uses private vehicle. The unpolluted natural resources may be the most attraction of this village. As the population is decreasing due to the migration of younger inhabitants to other places in search of better living conditions , the village is less congested and an ideal retirement haven for aged population.
