It was produced with Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and mixed by electronic artist Sebastian. It features Lovefoxxx, lead singer of Brazilian band CSS, on vocals and includes remixes by Xavier de Rosnay, Jackson and his Computer Band and Breakbot. The track was used in the title sequence for the film Drive, directed by Nicolas Winding Refn and starring Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan. "Nightcall" was included on Kavinsky's debut studio album, OutRun (2013). The song was also used in the soundtrack for the film The Lincoln Lawyer, directed by Brad Furman and starring Matthew McConaughey. It was sampled by Lupe Fiasco for his single "American Terrorist III", as well as by Vinny Cha$e & Kid Art for their 2012 song "Drive" as a bonus track on Golden Army. It was also sampled by Childish Gambino for his song "R.I.P" on his mixtape Royalty and by Will Young for his 2012 song called "Losing Myself". "Nightcall" was covered by English band London Grammar for their debut album, If You Wait (2013). It was also covered by former Bluetones frontman Mark Morriss on his second solo album, A Flash of Darkness, and by English shoegaze band My Vitriol. Track listing

Release history
Usage in media"Nightcall" plays in the background of a flashback scene in the film The Lincoln Lawyer.[13] It also plays during the opening credits of the 2011 film Drive,[14] and in scene 25 of Our RoboCop Remake as directed by Nicolas Winding Refn.[15] The song is used in a commercial for the Sony Xperia phone promoting its low-light camera features. The wolf sound sample in "Nightcall" appears to be the same as in the 1994 film Clerks, at 1:19:00, the Kanye West song "Wolves" and the Paul Simon song "The Werewolf".{{citation needed|date=June 2016}} References1. ^{{cite web |last=Stern |first=Bradley |url=https://muumuse.com/2013/10/london-grammar-kavinsky-cover-nightcall-new-single.html/ |title=London Grammar Selects Haunting Cover of Kavinsky's "Nightcall" As Next Single |work=MuuMuse |date=19 October 2013 |accessdate=11 December 2018}} 2. ^{{cite web |last=Price |first=Simon |authorlink=Simon Price |url=https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/reviews/album-kavinsky-outrun-mercury-8508072.html |title=Album: Kavinsky, Outrun (Mercury) |work=The Independent |date=24 February 2013 |accessdate=11 December 2018}} 3. ^{{cite web |url=https://itunes.apple.com/fr/album/nightcall/id578919087?l=en |title=Nightcall by Kavinsky |publisher=iTunes Store (France) |accessdate=24 April 2013}} 4. ^{{cite AV media notes |title=OutRun |type=liner notes |others=Kavinsky |publisher=Record Makers |year=2013 |id=REC86}} 5. ^http://www.fortitudemagazine.co.uk/music/single-review-london-grammar-nightcall/13934/ 6. ^{{Citation|last=London Grammar|title=London Grammar - Nightcall [Official Video]|date=2013-11-28|url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZYw0MQp_fI|accessdate=2017-06-28}} 7. ^1 2 {{cite web |url=https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/nightcall-radio-edit-single/id730378682 |title=Nightcall (Radio Edit) – Single by London Grammar |publisher=iTunes Store (UK) |accessdate=22 December 2013}} 8. ^1 {{cite web |url=https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/nightcall-ep/id745462968 |title=Nightcall – EP by London Grammar |publisher=iTunes Store (UK) |accessdate=22 December 2013}} 9. ^"Nightcall" (UK 7" single liner notes).
