Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, McClintock received a degree in history from McGill University. She later lived in Toronto.[1] She was a member of the Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators, and Performers and Crime Writers of Canada.[2][3] McClintock lived with her husband, Herman Rosenfeld and leaves two daughters, a son-in-law and a grandson.[3] Selected worksThe Mike & Riel series
