Nowa Jasienica {{IPAc-pl|'|n|o|w|a|-|j|a|ś|e1|'|n|i|c|a}} (formerly German Neu Jasenitz) - is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Police, within Police County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland, close to the German border.[1] It lies approximately {{convert|12|km|mi|0}} north-west of Police and {{convert|23|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} north-west of the regional capital Szczecin.

History

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.

Nowa Jasienica, known as Neu Jasenitz to its residents while part of Germany, became part of Poland after the end of World War II and changed its name to the Polish Nowa Jasienica.
