The Nyko Frontman is a guitar controller produced by Nyko for several game systems to be used with the video games Guitar Hero and Rock Band.[1] Depending on the version, its appearance is very similar to the Fender Telecaster (Wii) or the Gibson Explorer (PS2/PS3). CompatibilitySeparate models were released rhythm games for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii video game consoles.[2][3] The first iterations were compatible with Guitar Hero 1 and Guitar Hero 2 for the PS2.[4] Compatibility for Wii, by game title: Guitar Hero III: Y Guitar Hero V: N Guitar Hero - Aerosmith: Y Guitar Hero - World Tour: Y Guitar Hero - Van Hallen: Y Guitar Hero - Smash Hits: Y Guitar Hero - World of Rock: N Rock Band 1: N Rock Band 2: Y With the addition of PS3 Firmware 3.10 the Frontmans Dongle/receiver was Deactivated due to it being one of many products not up to Standards, However Nyko offer a free replacement receiver if you Email them, once it is replaced the Guitar Works(While in GH mode) fine with Rock Band 3*and presumably other games too.
