The M2 and M4 cars each had one single-arm pantograph. InteriorHistoryThe 5000 series was introduced from 1969, with a total of 15 sets (60 vehicles) built. These were augmented from 1978 by 20 6-car sets (120 vehicles), classified as 5200 series. 4+6-car formations were gradually replaced by new 4000 series sets, and the 6-car sets were withdrawn following the last day of operations on 30 January 2011.[2] The remaining 4-car sets were withdrawn on 16 March 2012.[3] References1. ^{{cite book |title = 私鉄車両編成表 2010 |trans-title=Private Railway Rolling Stock Formations - 2010| publisher = JRR | date = August 2010 | location = Japan | page =48 | isbn = 978-4-330-15310-0}} 2. ^{{cite web|url= http://www.odakyu.jp/program/info/data.info/5953_6166467_.pdf|script-title= ja:5000形6両編成が引退します|trans-title= 6-car 5000 series trains to be withdrawn|date= 28 December 2010|work= Odakyu News Release 10-28|publisher= Odakyu|location= |language= Japanese|format= pdf|archiveurl= https://web.archive.org/web/20110124135722/http://www.odakyu.jp/program/info/data.info/5953_6166467_.pdf|archivedate= 24 January 2011|accessdate= 29 December 2010|title= Archived copy|dead-url= yes|df= dmy-all}} 3. ^{{cite web |url= http://www.odakyu.jp/program/info/data.info/6815_7013180_.pdf|script-title=ja:ロマンスカー・HiSE、ロマンスカー・RSE、通勤車両5000形 “特設サイト”開設 “引退記念イベント”開催!!|trans-title=Special Website Set Up to Mark Withdrawal of HiSe and RSE Romancecars and 5000 series Commuter Train|date= 16 December 2011|work= News Release|publisher= Odakyu Electric Railway|location= Japan|language= Japanese|format= pdf|accessdate= 17 December 2011}} External links{{commons category|Odakyu 5000 series}}
