It lies approximately {{convert|2|km|mi|0}} south of Łubnice, {{convert|19|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} south of Staszów, and {{convert|66|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} south-east of the regional capital Kielce.[3] The village has a population of {{decrease}} 300. DemographyAccording to the 2002 Poland census, there were 304 people residing in Orzelec Duży village, of whom 52.6% were male and 47.4% were female. In the village, the population was spread out with 24.3% under the age of 18, 36.2% from 18 to 44, 16.4% from 45 to 64, and 23% who were 65 years of age or older.[4]
