Ostre {{IPAc-pl|'|o|s|t|r|e}} is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Lipowa, within Żywiec County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland.^[1] It lies approximately {{convert|10|km|mi|0}} west of Żywiec and {{convert|66|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} south of the regional capital Katowice.

The village was established in the early 17th century on the slopes of Ostre mountain in Silesian Beskids, originally named Podostre.^[2] The village has a population of 474.
