Lomma Golf is considered to be one of the oldest miniature golf manufacturers in the United States. It was founded in Scranton, Pennsylvania by brothers Al and Ralph Lomma. ^[1]

In 1983 the company opened a golf course in Guatemala City, then in the course of the Guatemalan Civil War, to offer the city "fun family recreation"; some patrons were accompanied by armed bodyguards . It had previously opened 17 courses in Vietnam during the Vietnam War ^[2]
