He played with Austin Stacks and Kerry intercounty teams in the late 1980s till the late 1990s. He won an All Ireland Senior medal in 1997, he won a Minor All Ireland in 1988 and Under 21 Medal in 1990. He also won an All Stars Awardin 1997. He won a Kerry Senior Football Championship with Austin Stacks in 1994.
