The island is situated {{convert|900|m|yd|abbr=on}} northwest of Barrientos Island, {{convert|1.35|km|mi|abbr=on}} northeast of Sierra Island and {{convert|650|m|yd|abbr=on}} southeast of Emeline Island. Extending {{convert|450|by|260|m|yd|abbr=on}}. The area was visited by early 19th century sealers. Named after the settlement of Dolni (Lower) Pasarel in western Bulgaria.
