BackgroundPaul Handforth was born in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England, he is the son of the rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s and 1970s for Wakefield Trinity (Heritage № 755), and Hunslet (Heritage № 1193); Tony "Tiger" Handforth. Playing careerHandforth's position of choice is at {{rlp|so}}, but he can also operate at {{rlp|sh}} and as a {{rlp|hk}}. He has previously played for Halifax, the Batley Bulldogs, Doncaster, the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, and the Castleford Tigers in the Super League. He started playing rugby with the Methley Monarchs ARLFC as a schoolboy and also played for the Oulton Raiders.
