Lori Lansens is a Canadian-born, NY Times-bestselling novelist and screenwriter. Her books have won tremendous acclaim, landed on bestseller lists around the world, and been translated into over 20 languages. Born in Chatham Ontario Canada, Lansens has mined her smalltown roots in much of her fiction. Lansens was a successful screenwriter, whose credits included the films South of Wawa, Wolf Girl and Marine Life, before publishing her first novel Rush Home Road to rave reviews in 2002. Lansens' follow-up novel, The Girls, was featured as a book-club pick by the Richard & Judy Show in the UK, selling over 400,000 copies. The book received recognition as a 2007 Best Book for Young Adults from the American Library Association.[1] She followed up with The Wife's Tale in 2012, and The Mountain Story in 2015. Both books sold throughout the world and received great reviews. In fall of 2019 Lansens will publish her latest novel, "This Little Light", an explosive story about the bombing of a Calabasas Christian school, and the rebellious young girl who is falsely accused. It deals with themes of sex and religion, which Lansens has always explored in her work.
