LocationThe Pedra Azul State Park was created in 1991 to protect the natural heritage of the region, and in particular the Pedra Azul (Blue Stone), a granite rock formation reaching a height of {{convert|1822|m}}. The park covers {{convert|1240|ha}}. Temperatures range from about {{convert|7.3|to|27.8|C}}. Altitude ranges from {{convert|1250|m}} at the visitor center to {{convert|1909|m}} at the peak of Pedra das Flores, the highest point.
