He is the former WBA World Light Flyweight Champion.[1] Professional careerIn November 1973, in Pedro's pro debut he upset the undefeated Ramon Novelo by T.K.O. in the seventh round.[2] WBA Flyweight ChampionshipOn September 26, 1981 Flores won the WBA Super Bantamweight Championship by upsetting an undefeated Yoko Gushiken[3] with a twelfth round T.K.O. in Gushikawa, Okinawa, Japan.[4] This bout was a rematch, as Gushiken had outpointed Flores in a prior world title bout.[5] See also
