The island is ice-free, extending {{convert|700|by|500|m|yd|abbr=on}} with surface area {{convert|20|ha|acre}}.[1] Separated from the neighbouring Esperanto Island and Lesidren Island by channels {{convert|70|and|130|m|yd|abbr=on}} wide respectively. Situated {{convert|2.1|km|mi|abbr=on}} northwest of Williams Point. The area was visited by early 19th century sealers.
