}}Phelotis is a monotypic moth genus in the family Geometridae erected by Edward Guest in 1887. Its single species, Phelotis cognata, the long-fringed bark moth, first described by Francis Walker in 1860, is found in Australia.[1] The wingspan is about 26 mm for males and about 30 mm for females. The larvae feed on Exocarpus species, but is thought that it has other food plants too.[2] References1. ^{{cite web |last=Savela |first=Markku |url=http://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/sci/bio/life/insecta/lepidoptera/ditrysia/geometroidea/geometridae/ennominae/phelotis/ |title=Phelotis Guest, 1887 |website=Lepidoptera and Some Other Life Forms |accessdate=7 February 2019}} 2. ^{{cite web |last1=Herbison-Evans |first1=Don |last2=Crossley |first2=Stella |last-author-amp=yes |date=14 July 2018 |url=http://lepidoptera.butterflyhouse.com.au/enno/cognata.html |title=Phelotis cognata (Walker, 1860) Long-fringed Bark Moth |website=Australian Caterpillars and their Butterflies and Moths |accessdate=7 February 2019}}
