It is an inhibitor of the enzyme thermolysin,[2] a membrane metallo-endopeptidase inhibitor,[3] and an endothelin converting enzyme inhibitor.[3] Chemically, phosphoramidon differs from its closely related peptidase inhibitor talopeptin by a single stereocenter. Because of its enzyme inhibitory properties, phosphoramidon is widely used as a biochemical tool.{{Citation needed|reason=Reliable source needed to substantiate claim wide use|date=June 2016}} References1. ^1 Phosphoramidon, Enzo Life Sciences 2. ^{{cite journal | vauthors = Kitagishi K, Hiromi K | title = Binding between thermolysin and its specific inhibitor, phosphoramidon | journal = Journal of Biochemistry | year = 1984 | volume = 95 | issue = 2 | pages = 529–34 | pmid = 6715312}} 3. ^1 [https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/summary/summary.cgi?cid=445114 Phosphoramidon] at PubChem External links
