Its highest peak has an elevation of 1,231 meters above sea level. Since the mountain is located on a strategic position over the city of Vranje, its peak hosts a TV tower and other telecommunication facilities. It was heavily bombed in the NATO bombing of FR Yugoslavia in 1999, and it is significantly contaminated with depleted uranium ammunition.[3] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.psd-kopaonik.org.rs/03KatalogplaninaSrbije.html|title=Katalog planina Srbije|publisher=PSD Kopaonik Beograd|author=Jovan Đokić|deadurl=yes|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20110518143835/http://www.psd-kopaonik.org.rs/03KatalogplaninaSrbije.html|archivedate=2011-05-18|df=}} {{DEFAULTSORT:Pljackovica}}{{Serbia-geo-stub}}2. ^{{Cite web|url=http://vranje.rs/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=85%3Alicna-karta-vranja&catid=44%3Aogradu&Itemid=234&lang=en|title=Data on Vranje|publisher=Official website of Vranje| accessdate=2010-10-11}} 3. ^{{citation| url=http://irpa11.irpa.net/pdfs/1d11.pdf |title=The Consequences of NATO Bombing on the Environment in Serbia |author=S.
