Traditionally the area was part of Upper Carniola. It is now included with the rest of the Municipality of Moravče in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.[2] It includes the hamlet of Sveti Mohor ({{lang-de|Sankt Hermagor}}[3]).[4] The local church, built on a hill to the north of the settlement, is dedicated to Saints Hermagoras and Fortunatus and belongs to the Parish of Moravče.
