The hamlet is located southwest of the intersection of the Cowboy Trail (Highway 22) and Highway 22X, approximately {{convert|10|km|mi}} west of Calgary's city limits. The hamlet is located in census division No. 6 and in the federal riding of Macleod. It was named for Charles Priddis, who homesteaded along the Fish Creek in 1886.[3] DemographicsStatistics Canada has not recently published a population for Priddis. However, Industry Canada shows that Priddis's greater rural area had a total population of 1,594 living in 645 dwellings in 2001. With a land area of {{convert|161.8|km2|sqmi|abbr=on}}, its greater rural area has a population density of {{convert|6.0|/km2|/sqmi|abbr=on}}.[4] See also
