It is native to southwestern Oregon and far northern California in the Klamath Mountains.[1] It grows in coniferous forests.[2] DescriptionQuercus sadleriana is a shrub growing 1 to 3 meters (3.3–10 feet) tall from a root network with rhizomes. The leaves are reminiscent of chestnut leaves, oval with toothed edges and rounded, faintly pointed ends. The fruit is an acorn with a cap between 1 and 2 centimeters (0.4-0.8 inch) wide and a spherical or egg-shaped, round-ended nut up to 2 centimeters (0.8 inch) long.[3][4]References1. ^{{BONAP |genus=Quercus |species=sadleriana |date=2014}} 2. ^{{Calflora|Quercus sadleriana}} 3. ^{{eFloras|1|233501081|Quercus sadleriana |family=Fagaceae |first=Kevin C. |last=Nixon}} 4. ^[https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/24299166#page/263/mode/1up Brown, Robert (of Campster). 1871.
