HistoryThe only unit to use Bacton was a detachment of No. 219 Squadron RAF between 22 July 1918 and March 1919 with various aircraft.{{sfn|Jefford|1988|p=72}} A hangar from RAF Bacton was relocated to North Walsham after the closure of the airfield, where it became a garage workshop. This building was damaged in high winds,[1] but an attempt to save the roof failed to salvage the structure, which was demolished in April 2007.[2] ReferencesCitations1. ^Airfields of Britain, Current Events {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20081011022537/http://www.abct.org.uk/page_1949.html |date=11 October 2008 }} 2. ^Eastern Daily Press, Airfield enthusiasts fail to save hangar Bibliography
