He is the former Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Tenom constituency in Sabah, representing the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) party in the governing Barisan Nasional coalition.[1] Raime was elected to Parliament in the 2004 election. Little known at the time, he replaced Parliamentary Secretary Rizalman Abdullah for the Barisan Nasional nomination for Tenom,[2] and went on to win the general election for the seat.[3] Election results
