Hemecker is an American film and television director, writer and producer. He is well known for his work on the ABC fantasy series Once Upon a Time; and for The CW superhero drama The Flash. CareerIn 2000, Hemecker founded Mythic Films, a full service feature film, TV and commercial production company.[1] After directing Witchblade, Hemecker served as the showrunner, writer and producer for the subsequent television series. The series aired from 2000 to 2002.[1] Hemecker has amassed numerous credits in television, directing episodes of Renegade, Dead at 21, Millennium, Numb3rs, V, Blue Bloods, and Nikita; as well as directing a number of television films.[2][3] Once Upon a TimeHe has directed 21 episodes of the ABC fantasy/drama Once Upon a Time. Including series pivotal installments "Broken", "Queen of Hearts", "Second Star to the Right", "Going Home", "A Tale of Two Sisters", "The Bear and the Bow" and "Heartless". The FlashIn 2014, he came aboard The CW superhero series The Flash, as a recurring director. He helmed the critically and fan acclaimed freshman season episode, "Tricksters"; which saw Mark Hamill reprise his role of the titular supervillain after over 20 years.
