Interactive Entertainment (2009-present) for various consoles. The basic premise of the games is that, due to various lab accidents, the player controls a human transformed into a giant monster. The game-play revolves around the player using their chosen monster to destroy cities around the world while attacking or avoiding police and military forces. Starting in 1986, the most recent installment is the Wii version of Rampage: Total Destruction, released on November 19, 2006 (nearly nine months after the original Nintendo GameCube and PlayStation 2 release dates). A film adaptation titled Rampage was released in 2018.[1] PremiseHumans have been undergoing strange transformations into giant animal-like kaijus due to experiments conducted by the evil and corrupt Scumlabs. These monsters proceed to travel through the United States, around the globe, into space and eventually through time itself destroying (and occasionally devouring) everything in sight. Heavy inspiration is drawn from various monster movies such as King Kong, Godzilla, and An American Werewolf in London, as well as arcade games such as Donkey Kong.[2] Games

The film features the classic trio of George, Lizzie and Ralph, this time as mutant animals rather than as transformed humans. To tie into the film four separate video games were created. One is an arcade game created exclusively for Dave & Busters who co-created the game alongside Adrenaline Amusements for their restaurant chain,[3] another is an App game called RAMPAGE: AR Unleashed,[4] while the third is a free-to-play browser game called Rampage City Smash.[5] The fourth is a virtual reality game called Project Rampage VR.[6] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/rampage-new-line-262475|title=Classic Video Game 'Rampage' Headed to Big Screen From New Line (Exclusive)|publisher=The Hollywood Reporter|last=Kit|first=Borys|date=November 17, 2011}} {{Rampage}}2. ^{{cite news |title=Rampage film review - even shallower than the arcade game |url=https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-04-19-rampage-film-review-even-shallower-than-the-arcade-game |work=Eurogamer |date=April 20, 2018}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://arcadeheroes.com/2018/03/16/rampage-returns-arcades-dave-busters-exclusive/|title=Rampage Returns To Arcades As A Dave & Busters Exclusive|publisher=arcadeheroes.com|date=March 27, 2018}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=https://www.warnerbros.com/videogame/rampage-ar-unleashed|title=Rampage: AR Unleashed|publisher=Warnerbros|date=March 27, 2018}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=http://game.rampagethemovie.com/|title= Rampage City Smash|publisher=Warnerbros|date=March 29, 2018}} 6. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.rampagethemovie.com/vr/|title= Project Rampage VR|publisher=Warnerbros|date=April 24, 2018}} 6 : Kaiju video games|Rampage games|Video games adapted into films|Warner Bros.
