Raymond C. "Ray" Stebbins (born c. 1944) is United States attorney and political activist, a member of the Democratic Party. He is best known as a winner of the Democratic New Hampshire Vice Presidential primary. A 64-year-old resident (as of February 2008) of Weymouth, Massachusetts he is a retired corporate attorney. He never held a public office, but is frequently involved in political campaigns. Vice Presidential primary is a very low key event and usually no prominent candidate participated. Vice Presidential primary also have no impact on nomination process. Many of them, however, winning as write-ins (just as Estes Kefauver, Al Gore, or John Edwards). Stebbins won primary with 46.93%, against next candidate, winner of the 2000 republican primary William Bryk. During a campaign, his bumper stickers "Vote for Ray Stebbins, Vice President", included phrases "easy to remove" and "so you wouldn’t have it on there for years".
