{{Infobox_gene}}RNA-binding protein 39 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RBM39 gene.[1][2] Function The protein encoded by this gene is an RNA binding protein and possible splicing factor. The encoded protein is found in the nucleus, where it colocalizes with core spliceosomal proteins. Studies of a mouse protein with high sequence similarity to this protein suggest that this protein may act as a transcriptional coactivator for JUN/AP-1 and estrogen receptors. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been observed for this gene.[2] Interactions RBM39 has been shown to interact with Estrogen receptor alpha,[3] Estrogen receptor beta[3] and C-jun.[3] References 1. ^{{cite journal | vauthors = Imai H, Chan EK, Kiyosawa K, Fu XD, Tan EM | title = Novel nuclear autoantigen with splicing factor motifs identified with antibody from hepatocellular carcinoma | journal = J Clin Invest | volume = 92 | issue = 5 | pages = 2419–26 | date = Dec 1993 | pmid = 8227358 | pmc = 288425 | doi = 10.1172/JCI116848 }} 2. ^1 {{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: RBM39 RNA binding motif protein 39| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=9584| accessdate = }} 3. ^1 2 {{cite journal | vauthors = Jung DJ, Na SY, Na DS, Lee JW | title = Molecular cloning and characterization of CAPER, a novel coactivator of activating protein-1 and estrogen receptors | journal = J.
