The Registro de Identificação Civil ({{IPA-pt|ʁeˈʒistɾu di idẽtifikaˈsɐ̃w siˈviw}}, Civil Identity Registry) is the project for a new Brazilian eID card. The RIC began to be issued in December 2010 in selected locations. As of June 2012 the project has been suspended until further notice. It is recognized as a travel document. External links
