Club CareerSan Salvador FCOrellana's professional career began on July 3, 2007 when he signed a contract with now defunct Salvadoran national league club, San Salvador FC. He was one of six players from the El Salvador U17 national team, that would sign for San Salvador FC that season. The others were William Maldonado, Diego Chavarría, Xavier García, Óscar Arroyo and Fabricio Alfaro. He made his professional debut on August 25, 2007, in a league match against Vista Hermosa. Luis Ángel FirpoAfter a season with San Salvador FC, he signed with Luis Ángel Firpo in 2008. Atlético MarteOrellana signed with Atlético Marte in 2011. Once MunicipalHe signed with Once Municipal after he decided to leave Atlético Marte. UESHe signed with UES for the Apertura 2012. With the scarlet team, Orellana had a regular performance, however, the club suffered numerous administrative problems and delays in the payment of salaries to footballers. Santa TeclaOrellana signed with Santa Tecla for the Apertura 2013. PasaquinaIn 2014, Orellana he signed with Pasaquina. With the team of La Unión, he suffered one of the worst moments in his career, in a game against Alianza scored an own goal, in a 0–1 loss. DragónLater, he signed with Dragón in 2015, until he left the team in December of the same year. ChalatenangoAfter that, he signed with Chalatenango in 2016 and had a brief return to Pasaquina months later. FASIn 2017, Orellana signed with FAS where he has had important moments, standing out when he scored the winning goal in a match against Chalatenango (1–0 victory) at the Estadio Óscar Quiteño. In December 2018, Orellana was declared as transferable in FAS. International careerOrellana was named in the Pre–Olympic El Salvador U–23 squad by coach Rubén Israel in August 2011.
