词条 | Richard de Camville |
释义 |
He was the son of another Richard de Camville (died 1176), an Anglo-Norman landowner, and Millicent de Rethel daughter of Gervais, Count of Rethel, kinswoman (second cousin) of Adeliza of Louvain, the second wife of King Henry I.[5] The family probably originated from Canville-les-Deux-Églises (Canvilla 1149, Camvilla 1153) in Normandy. He had at least one son, Gerard de Camville, and one daughter, Matilda, wife of William de Ros. In England, his holdings included land at Stanton Harcourt, Oxfordshire,[5] Blackland, Wiltshire,[4] and Speen (possibly posthumously)[8] and Avington,[9] both in Berkshire.
