释义 |
The Mapu a Vaea or "Whistle of the Noble" are natural blowholes on the island of Tongatapu in the village of Houma in the Kingdom of Tonga.[1] When waves crash into the reef, natural channels in the volcanic rock allow water to forcefully blow through and create a plume-like effect. It is one of the highlights of the tours around the island of Tongatapu.[2][3] "Vaea" is the name of the Honorable Vaea Family of nearby Houma. {{Coord|21|10|33.4|S|175|18|24.4|W|type:landmark_region:TO|display=title}}References1. ^{{cite web|title=Mapu’a ‘a Vaea Blowholes|url=https://www.lonelyplanet.com/tonga/around-tongatapu/attractions/mapua-a-vaea-blowholes/a/poi-sig/1064944/1332201|website=lonelyplanet.com|accessdate=17 October 2017}} {{DEFAULTSORT:Mapu A Vaea}}{{Tonga-geo-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|title=Mapu A Vaea - Impressive Blow Holes in Tonga|url=https://www.barclaycardtravel.com/t5/Travel-Stories/Mapu-A-Vaea-Impressive-Blow-Holes-in-Tonga/ba-p/2134254|website=barclaycardtravel.com|accessdate=17 October 2017}} 3. ^{{cite book|last1=Asleson|first1=Kate|title=Tonga: discover the real Tonga|date=2011|publisher=Other Places Pub.|isbn=0982261942|edition=1st|url=https://books.google.it/books?id=RDCvD34FOoQC&pg=PT115&lpg=PT115&dq=mapu+a+vaea&source=bl&ots=sPmDp9zOpL&sig=bbrogExjZrRGfsA-i3B2x6gONbo&hl=it&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwic0ruz3PfWAhWJaRQKHV6WAnk4FBDoAQhWMAc#v=onepage&q=mapu%20a%20vaea&f=false|accessdate=17 October 2017}} 4 : Landforms of Tonga|Blowholes|Tongatapu|Landforms of Oceania |
