Fowler was educated at Westminster[3] and Christ Church, Oxford.[4] He was Dean of St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin from 1793 to 1794;[5] Rector of Urney[6] and Archdeacon of Dublin from 1794 until 1813; Bishop of Ossory [7] from 1813 to 1835;[8] and then the inaugural Bishop of Ossory, Ferns and Leighlin[9] from 1835 until his death aged 75 on 31 December 1841.[10] He was son of Archbishop Robert Fowler of Dublin[11] Notes1. ^“Handbook of British Chronology” By Fryde, E.
