The photographs of Robert and Shana ParkeHarrison have been displayed in 18 solo exhibitions and over 30 group shows worldwide. Their work can also be found in over 20 collections, including the National Museum of American Art at the Smithsonian Institution and the George Eastman House.[1] Their book, The Architect’s Brother, was named as one of 'the Ten Best Photography Books of the Year' of 2000 by The New York Times.[1]
Many of his images are of ParkeHarrison himself, in costume and interacting with specific scenes, objects, and landscapes. Due to this aspect of performance in the images, they can be viewed as part stand-alone photographs, part documents of a singular instance of performance art.[2] ParkeHarrison's work is stylistically similar to that of Teun Hocks.{{citation needed|date=September 2015}} References1. ^1 Imaging a Shattering Earth: Contemporary Photography and the Environmental Debate - Artists {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20080205213659/http://www2.oakland.edu/shatteringearth/artists.cfm?Art=37 |date=2008-02-05 }} 2. ^{{Cite book|title=Photography: A Cultural History|edition=2nd |last=Marien|first=Mary Warner|publisher=Pearson|year=2006|isbn=9780132219068|pages=473-474}} External links
