It is {{convert|0.5|mi|km|1}} from Aneroid Lake on trail 1804.[1] It is listed as the 29th highest lake in the Eagle Cap Wilderness[2] TrailRoger Lake can be accessed by either the East Fork Wallowa River Trailhead at Wallowa Lake or the Tenderfoot Trailhead. The East Fork Wallowa River Trailhead is by far a shorter hike to Roger Lake, being only {{convert|5.5|mi|km}} long. After about {{convert|2|mi|km|0}} of hiking on the East Fork Wallowa River Trail, the climber will reach a small dam. At {{convert|3.8|mi|km}} there is a small, well built bridge. The average depth of the lake is {{convert|30|ft|m|0}}, and the maximum depth is {{convert|46|ft|m}}.
