Ronald Frame (born 23 May 1953) is a prize-winning novelist, short story writer and dramatist. He was educated in Glasgow, and at Oxford University. Unwritten Secrets,[1] a novel and his fifteenth book of fiction, was published in 2010. He has written many original plays and adaptations (most recently The Other Simenon)[2] for BBC Radio.[3] His serial The Hydro (three series) was a popular success. A radio memoir of growing up in 50s and 60s Scottish suburbia, Ghost City,[4] transferred to BBC Television. His first TV film Paris[5] won the Samuel Beckett Award and PYE’s ‘Most Promising Writer New to Television’ Award. His papers, to 2000, can be accessed at the National Library of Scotland in Edinburgh.
