It was written by Charles R. Cross. Room Full of Mirrors was released in the year of the 35th anniversary of Hendrix's death and is composed of over many interviews that Cross conducted. More than half of the people interviewed had never spoken about Jimi since his death. It takes the reader from his troubled home in Seattle's projects to his time at military school and from his attempts to make it big in New York City's Greenwich Village to his rise to fame as the leader of the psychedelic rock music style. Cross took the name Room Full of Mirrors from the song on Jimi Hendrix's First Rays of the New Rising Sun.
