The residents are also a part of SARM Division No. 1, Yorkton—Melville Economic Region and Census Division No. 5, Saskatchewan. The RM was incorporated December 13, 1909.[2] Other localities in the area include Adair, Ellisboro, Falcon, Grainer, and Summerberry.[3] The town of Wolseley in this area has its own municipal government.[4] The Trans Canada Highway intersects this RM.
