Sabrisho{{transl|ar|DIN|ʿ}} V ibn al-Masihi was Patriarch of the Church of the East from 1226 to 1256. SourcesBrief accounts of Sabrisho{{transl|ar|DIN|ʿ}}'s patriarchate are given in the Ecclesiastical Chronicle of the Jacobite writer Bar Hebraeus (floruit 1280) and in the ecclesiastical histories of the fourteenth-century Nestorian writers {{transl|ar|DIN|ʿ}}Amr and Sliba. During his patriarchate, somewhere around 1233, Rome established contacts with the Church of the East, by sending Dominicans. In 1247 Sabrisho sent his vicar Rabban Ara to Rome to Pope Innocent IV in order to work on the union between the two churches. Rabban Ara was consecrated a patriarch in Rome, but it's unknown whether this union had a major significance.{{sfn|Dočkal|1938|p=345}} See also
