It is located near the large new town of Milton Keynes and the M1 motorway.[2] In 1931 the civil parish had a population of 133.[3] On the 1st of April 1933 the civil parish was merged with Hulcote to form Hulcote and Salford.[4] The Church of St Mary the Virgin is located in the village.
