Peter }} Salvia heterochroa is a perennial plant that is native to Yunnan province in China, found growing on grassy slopes at {{convert|3500|to|3800|m|ft|abbr=on}} elevation. S. heterochroa grows on one or two stems, with elliptic-ovate leaves that range in size from {{convert|4|to|13|cm|in|abbr=on}} long and {{convert|2.5|to|10|cm|in|abbr=on}} wide. Inflorescences are 2-6 flowered widely spaced verticillasters in raceme-panicles.
