Samahni is mostly surrounded by high mountains. Samahni has five UCs: Khambah, Poona, Chowki, Samahni, Bandala Baghsar. Main shopping center in Samahni is Chowki city. It has a famous tomb of Baba shadi shaheed. Baghsar Fort was built by Mugal empires. Ch muhammad Rashid(late) won four consecutive elections from Samahani. He also became advisor to the late Prime minister of Pakistan, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. Ch muhammad rashid was the most famous personality of valley Samahani. He developed many schools, roads and resolved electricity issues by providing electricity to Valley Samahani. Later Ch Ali shan soni a young politician contested elections against him and won. After the death of Ch muhammad rashid, Ch Ali shan soni won elections from Samahani against Ch rashid (late) brother Ch muhammad razzaq( vice president PTI). Ch ali shan soni won three consecutive elections from Samahni.
